Crocs

Maybe it’s because I’m nearing 30, maybe it’s because we have just moved near the beach, or maybe it’s because I now mainly work from home so comfort often takes precedence over fashion.

Whatever the reason, I am seriously considering investing in a pair of Crocs.

I can see my former self rolling her eyes right now. They just seem so… practical! And comfortable. And easy to slip on when you’re taking the bins out / wandering back from the beach / taking a three year old to the park.

As a highly trained journalist, I think it my duty to dig a little deeper into my love / hate relationship with Crocs.

A quick Google search reveals that I am not the only one to dabble with the giver-of-foot-comfort. The likes of Angelina Jolie, Rihanna, Ben Affleck and Terri Hatcher have all been caught on camera wearing Crocs. There’s even a celeb gallery to prove it.

Furthermore, there’s a Facebook page dedicated to celebs in Crocs, plus numerous articles debating if it’s a win or lose for fashion.

It seems that even the celebrities are embracing the need for comfort and practicality – although pairing them with a full-length evening gown is a questionable fashion choice.

I don’t need any more convincing. If the likes of Angelina can do it, then I want in on some of that Croc action.

I’m off to purchase a pair of Women’s Crocs. Who’s with me?
