OK, so possibly not the ultimate man present (get your head out of the gutter), but it comes a pretty close second. The NLM has been moaning for ages about his wallet. Apart from the fact that it’s always empty and literally squeaks when he opens it (ba-da-boom), the few times he did have some money to store in there it just wasn’t doing the job.
Prior to his birthday, the NLM’s wallet featured a picture of Space Invaders on it, was very rough around the edges and had nowhere to store all his loose change. I lost count of the number of times I saw him scrabbling around on the floor for all the coins that had just fallen out of his pocket and, quite frankly, it was starting to get on my nerves.
Enter David Hampton, a luxury leather goods company with an emphasis on high end wallets, purses and briefcases.
When the NLM turned 35 a couple of weeks ago I knew I wanted to give him a wallet. But finding a wallet that was grown-up, good quality and included a section for coins was proving tricky. The leather coin wallet in Malvern from David Hampton ticked all of the boxes for what the NLM needed in a wallet. Plus, it’s stylish and thin enough to slide into his pocket comfortably too.
The wallet comes packaged in a soft fabric envelope inside a smart box, making it an ideal gift and giving it the edge over some of the high street versions I had previously looked at. The leather is smooth, soft but durable enough to (hopefully) not get incredibly scuffed over time.
So if you’re in the market for a new wallet then I thoroughly recommend checking out the David Hampton website. There are lots of different designs to choose from that would make a lovely gift, if you can bear to part with it!
