Eating outside with a baby

One of my favourite things about this time of year is being able to eat outdoors. This comes in especially handy if you have a mucky baby intent on throwing her food all over the place. Call me lazy, but I just can’t be bothered with carrying the highchair into the garden everytime we have a meal outdoors. And although she loves a picnic, Baby Girl is prone to crawling all over her food when we eat our meals on the picnic blanket.

Step in Babymoov, ready to save the day yet again with their Up and Go Booster Seat.

Up and Go booster

This is a really handy piece of equipment to add to your baby repertoire, as it folds away into an easy-to-carry bag with a handle. Made from neoprene, it’s wipeable and features adjustable straps so it will fit a wide variety of seats.

Another useful feature is the ability to adjust the height of the seat. A turn of the screw can make it higher or lower, meaning it will grow with your baby and last them right through the toddler years. Handy.

Oh – and if you’re looking for some tupperware to keep those all-important picnic bits nice and fresh then these baby bowls with lids are a must. If you’re going down the puree route you can use them to store your pre-made puree meals. Or take them out and about and do as we do, using them as mini lunch boxes for sandwiches, cubes of cheese and fruit.

Both the bowls and the Up and Go booster seat can be bought online via the Babymoov website. And both get the thumbs up from us.
