As an established blog of over five and a half years, Mother’s Always Right regularly appears in the top 10% of parenting and family lifestyle blogs in the UK. As such, we’ve been featured across many publications, including Gurgle, Mother & Baby, The Green Parent, OK! Mum and Baby and Prima Baby. I’ve also appeared on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, the Heart radio network and various BBC local radio stations, to give a mum’s view on various parenting and family topical issues.
Some examples of press coverage can be seen below (click on the image to see the article in full):
As well as a blogger, I’m also a journalist specialising in lifestyle topics – particularly interiors. You can find out more about my work as a journalist and my portfolio over on my Hire Me page.
Before being a work at home mum I worked as a radio reporter, newsreader and presenter for the Heart network. I’m as comfortable in front of the microphone (or camera, these days over on YouTube) as I am behind it and have been invited to give my opinion as a mum on various topical issues for the likes of Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Heart and multiple BBC local radio stations.
Awards aren’t the be all and end all of blogging, but it’s always nice to be recognised. In 2011 I was shortlisted in the final of the Gurgle blog awards and The MAD Blog Awards. Last year (2015) I made it to the final of The MAD Blog Awards again.
