Holiday bag

Commissioned post

We’re off to Spain in September and I’m attempting to be a bit more prepared about packing than I was the last time we went away. No last minute rushing to the shops for suncream and insect repellent for me, oh no…

There are a few things in my holiday bag already actually, courtesy of Luxe BC and the suncream from Nuage range.

For me, the essentials for any holiday have to include the following:

1) Suncream

A high factor for young skin (we don’t go with anything below 50 for Frog) and a slightly lower factor for me. I say “low”, I still don’t go below 30. The risk of getting burned is just not worth it!

2) Insect repellent

Insects love me. Even on a cold October evening I still often manage to be bitten. Going to Spain will mean at least one whole bottle of insect repellent – if not two.

3) Bite relief

See above. Sometimes I’ll miss a bit when it comes to the repellent and the mozzies will find that one juicy spot on my entire body and go to town. It hurts, hence the need for bite relief.

4) Nice new face cream

I don’t tend to wear make-up on holiday, apart from possibly a slight dab of mascara in the evening. One of my favourite things about being on holiday is that post-shower feeling, when you’re all clean and cool. This is why I like to invest in a posh face cream to take on holiday, to add to that post-shower glow and keep the facial tan from going a bit peely.

5) Aftersun Cream

Because the smell of Aftersun on showered skin after a hot day is very lovely. Plus it keeps stops that horrible dry skin effect.

What’s in your holiday bag this summer?
